House hands Trump a win with failed Iran war powers vote

House Democrats failed to pass a third war powers resolution to constrain President Trump's authority to wage war with Iran, losing 213 to 214. Centrist Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine) and libertarian Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) voted against and with the measure, respectively, while some lawmakers shifted their votes compared to previous attempts.
