Albanese says no fuel restrictions in wake of massive Geelong refinery fire

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed that the fire at the Geelong (Corio) refinery will not lead to stage 3 fuel restrictions in Australia, despite a 40% reduction in petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel production. The Viva Energy refinery, which supplied half of Victoria’s fuel, was damaged in a 13-hour blaze.
