Mexico’s climate supercomputer could change forecasting

Mexico is developing the Coatlicue supercomputer, the most powerful in Latin America, to enhance weather forecasting, climate research, and AI initiatives. Led by President Claudia Sheinbaum, the system aims to process 314 petaflops of data, enabling earlier disaster warnings and supporting scientific and entrepreneurial projects.
