Robot runner handily beats humans in half-marathon, setting new record

Humanoid robots set a new half-marathon record in Beijing, with Honor's robot completing the 13-mile race in 50 minutes 26 seconds, surpassing the human world record of 57 minutes 20 seconds set by Ugandan runner Jacob Kiplimo. The robot's design, inspired by human athletes, featured long legs and a custom liquid-cooling system developed by Honor engineer Du Xiaodi.
