Lab behind Gilgo Beach killer conviction believed to be involved in Nancy Guthrie abduction case

A San Francisco forensics lab, Astrea Forensics, which helped convict the Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann using DNA from rootless hair, is now being considered by the FBI to analyze a hair sample linked to the suspected abduction of Nancy Guthrie in Arizona. The FBI requested the sample over two months ago, but it was initially sent to a Florida lab by local authorities before being transferred for advanced testing.
