Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick resigns before facing ethics panel meeting

Democratic Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick resigned from Congress moments before a House Ethics Committee meeting to address allegations of stealing nearly $5 million in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funds for her campaign. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
