Abandoned resort of Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, other Hollywood stars returns with $298 million remake

The historic Cal Neva Resort in Lake Tahoe, once a hub for Hollywood stars like Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe, is being redeveloped into the Lake Tahoe Proper Resort and Casino with a $298 million investment. The project, led by Realberry and Proper Hospitality, aims to preserve the resort's legacy while introducing modern amenities, with a planned 2027 reopening.
