Man planning mass shooting in New Orleans arrested, authorities say

A former North Carolina law enforcement officer, Christopher Gillum, was arrested in Florida after threatening to carry out a mass shooting at a New Orleans festival. Authorities stated he was taken into custody without incident at a hotel in Destin, Fla., en route to New Orleans.
