Officer stabbed in head, torso during arrest at Long Beach library

A 44-year-old Torrance man faces life in prison for stabbing a Long Beach police officer in the head and torso during an arrest at the Billie Jean King Public Library on April 17. The incident occurred just before 2:30 p.m. near Pacific Avenue and First Street in Long Beach.
