Britain must think like a hot country – otherwise inequalities will only grow
The UK government must address climate change to prevent worsening inequalities, as temperatures are expected to rise by 2C in the next two decades, leading to more frequent heatwaves and flooding. The country is currently unprepared for the changing climate, with temperatures already 1.4C above the historic norm. This will result in severe consequences, including droughts and extreme weather events.
