Meta and Google get data from the app your boss uses to track you

A study led by Columbia Law School researchers found that workplace monitoring software used by hundreds of thousands of employers shares employee data with major tech companies like Meta and Google, as well as data brokers. All nine bossware services examined transmitted sensitive information including names, email addresses, and web history to third-party platforms.
