Manhunt launched for samurai sword attack suspect with sex crime conviction after party assault: sheriff

Bays, a transient with a prior conviction for sexual battery of a minor, fled the scene and is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are using helicopters and K-9 units to locate him.
