Nasa images show wildfire damage to island dubbed ‘Galapagos of California’
NASA satellite images revealed extensive wildfire damage on Santa Rosa Island, part of the Channel Islands National Park off southern California, with a third of the island burned. The false-color image captured by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on May 20 shows large blackened areas from the blaze.
