EU needs a ‘dedicated instrument’ to unwind China dependencies, trade chief says
The EU's trade chief, Maros Sefcovic, has stated that the bloc is considering a specific rule to force companies to diversify suppliers to reduce dependencies on China. He cited the EU's approach to reducing reliance on Russian energy after the 2022 invasion of Ukraine as a model.
