How everyday cooking oil is helping Japan fight an aviation fuel crisis
Japanese citizens, including homemaker Maki Watanabe, are donating used cooking oil to help produce eco-friendly jet fuel as part of a national effort to address an aviation fuel crisis. Contributions are pooled at supermarkets across Japan, with Watanabe donating approximately 40 liters annually.
