Judge tosses Kennedy Center suit against musician who canceled Christmas Eve show

A D.C. Superior Court judge dismissed a breach of contract lawsuit against musician Chuck Redd, who canceled a Kennedy Center performance in protest of President Donald Trump’s influence. The dismissal, under Washington’s Anti-SLAPP laws, was based on claims the lawsuit aimed to silence Redd’s public objection to adding Trump’s name to the Kennedy Center.
