Afghan National Pleads Guilty to Obtaining Firearms in Connection with Plot to Conduct ISIS-Inspired Election Day Terrorist Attack

Abdullah Haji Zada, an 18-year-old Afghan national and U.S. lawful permanent resident, pleaded guilty to obtaining firearms and ammunition for an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack planned for Election Day. The charges include knowingly receiving and conspiring to receive weapons intended for committing a federal crime of terrorism.
