Student allegedly jailed in China for six years after taking part in pro-democracy protests in Australia

A Chinese international student is alleged to have been sentenced to six years in prison by Chinese authorities for participating in pro-democracy protests in Australia. The Australian government has been called to take stronger measures to protect overseas students from political repression upon their return to China.
