Apple agrees to pay $250m after falsely claiming AI-powered Siri was ‘available now’
Apple agreed to pay $250m to settle a class-action lawsuit accusing it of misleading iPhone buyers by falsely touting AI capabilities for Siri. The lawsuit covered roughly 36m eligible devices and claimed Apple promoted non-existent AI features to boost sales. Apple did not admit wrongdoing in the settlement.
