NEC’s orbital transfer vehicle has cislunar combat potential

Japan's NEC Corporation has launched a project to develop an Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV) designed to transport satellites to their intended orbits after rocket separation. The OTV technology could potentially enhance Japan's cislunar capabilities and reduce satellite fuel consumption by eliminating the need for onboard engines to reach destination orbits.
