Japanese Court Rules North Korea Owes Compensation Over Its Past Repatriation Push

A Japanese court has ruled that North Korea owes compensation related to a repatriation campaign from the early 1960s. Over 90,000 ethnic Koreans were persuaded to leave Japan for North Korea through propaganda, with most remaining trapped there decades later.
