'It's blue!': Scientists discover new deep-sea octopus near Galapagos Islands

Scientists from the Charles Darwin Foundation discovered a new deep-sea octopus species, Microeledone galapagensis, near the Galapagos Islands at a depth of 1,800 meters. The octopus is named for its rare cerulean blue color, which is considered one of the rarest in nature.
