Woman guilty of killing stepdaughter, five, by scalding almost 50 years ago

Janice Nix was convicted of manslaughter for scalding her five-year-old stepdaughter Andrea Bernard to death in 1978. The case was reopened in 2022 after Andrea's older brother, Desmond Bernard, provided a new account of the incident to police.
