Forget LASIK: Safer, cheaper vision correction without lasers or surgery

Researchers are developing a non-laser, non-surgical vision correction method using mild electrical pulses and platinum contact lenses to temporarily reshape the cornea. Early tests on rabbit eyes corrected nearsightedness in about a minute while maintaining the eye's structural integrity.
