National abortion network says assistance calls and related costs are increasing

The National Network of Abortion Funds reports a near doubling of assistance calls for abortion seekers since 2022, with 158,000 calls in 2025. Abortion funding costs rose 30% and travel/accommodation costs increased 13% since 2024. Florida's Access Network director noted 30% of Floridians now require out-of-state travel for abortions, averaging 1,000 miles and $2,400 per trip due to a 2024 six-week ban.
