Passenger on train to London given first sentence for harassment under new law
David Stroud became the first person to be sentenced under a new harassment law after grabbing a woman’s hair and asking if he could kiss her on a train to London. The incident occurred two days after the law, which bans harassment motivated by a person’s sex, took effect. The British Transport Police prosecuted the case.
