Portugal’s president vetoes bill banning ‘ideological’ flags
Portuguese President António José Seguro vetoed a bill banning the display of ideological, partisan, or associative flags on public buildings. The legislation, supported by multiple parties, would have restricted such flags to only the national flag, EU flag, and official institutional flags. The bill now returns to Parliament for potential amendment or reaffirmation.
