Road builder run by members of Palumbo family back at work on state projects after lengthy 'pause'

A road-building company controlled by members of the Palumbo family, previously blocked from state contracts due to an investigation into a family member's involvement, has resumed work on Illinois Department of Transportation projects after a legal settlement. The company, now awarded nine contracts totaling over $50 million, includes projects on Illinois Route 47 and Busse Road.
