Mamdani says NYC kiosks will offer real-time guidance on cooling centers as temps rise this week

New York City will use over 2,200 LinkNYC kiosks to display real-time walking directions to cooling centers during extreme heat this week. The initiative, a partnership between NYCEM, OTI, and LinkNYC, automatically updates information via the city’s Cool Options Finder to help residents access air-conditioned spaces.
