Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) developed a technology to grow high-purity, single crystal diamonds of any shape and size, including a basketball-sized wafer. The diamonds, created by Zhu Jiaqi's team, were presented as one-carat rings to couples at HIT's group wedding.
