Red Cross says deadly Congo Ebola epidemic yet to peak, may last a year
The Red Cross states that the deadly Ebola epidemic in Congo, caused by the Bundibugyo strain with no proven treatment or vaccine, has not yet peaked and may last a year. Over 800 cases have been reported, with 192 fatalities, and the disease spreads through body fluids even after death across three provinces.
