Woman arrested in Cañon City in connection with child abuse investigation

Mallorie Lancaster, a Cañon City resident, was arrested on June 14 in connection with a child abuse investigation involving her three-month-old infant. The arrest followed a May 17 incident where officers responded to St. Thomas More Hospital after the infant was transported in acute distress. The Caon City Police Department conducted an investigation with medical records, interviews, and consultations with pediatric trauma specialists to establish probable cause.
