A Fund Just Took a Fifth of Brazil’s Newly Privatized Water Giant Copasa
Brazilian asset manager Perfin increased its stake in privatized water utility Copasa to 20.11%, becoming the second-largest shareholder. Copasa's privatization closed on the São Paulo exchange on June 16, raising R$8.38bn ($1.66bn) and ending 52 years of state control.
