Old La Quinta’s falling down, falling down, falling down
The Old West Pancake House in north Denver, near a La Quinta hotel, has closed and will be demolished to make way for the Park Avenue Apartments, a 60-unit supportive housing project led by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. The $34 million project, funded in part by federal and state tax credits, aims to provide housing for individuals recovering from homelessness and earning up to 60% of the area median income, with construction expected to finish by summer 2027.
