Sexual abuse against children up 20% in 2025 as security chief vows tighter laws
Sexual abuse cases against children under 17 in Hong Kong increased by 20% in 2025 compared to 2024, rising from 663 to 797 cases. The security minister has pledged to implement stricter laws by next June to better protect victims.
