France examines bill to rein in ultra-fast-fashion's expansion

France is considering a law to limit ultra-fast fashion's growth after Chinese brand Shein exited BHV department store in Paris amid criticism of its business model's impact on French retail. High-end brands like Dior and Guerlain have also left BHV, and a parliamentary committee will examine the proposed legislation starting June 17.
