Beloved ER nurse mowed down on SoCal highway after stopping to help DUI crash victim

Nereida Benitez, an ER nurse, was struck on a Southern California highway after stopping to assist a crash victim. She had just completed a shift at Sharp Memorial Hospital and was driving home to Temecula when the incident occurred near State Route 76.
