US moves to end Teamsters union oversight
The US Department of Justice and the Teamsters union are jointly ending federal oversight of the union. The DOJ's 2015 decision to phase out oversight raised concerns about corruption, following a 1988 civil racketeering lawsuit that linked some union leaders to misconduct.
