Move afoot to change Al-Aqsa’s status

Tel Aviv is collaborating with the US and right-wing groups to reclassify the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound as a 'multi-faith centre', challenging the existing Status Quo that restricts non-Muslim religious activities there. Israeli settlers recently attacked two mosques in the occupied West Bank, while hardline Israeli officials like Moshe Feiglin and Itamar Ben-Gvir have openly defied agreements to incite tensions over the site.
