Feds, 4 states sue trans healthcare nonprofit over gender-affirming treatment
The Federal Trade Commission and four states sued the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) over allegations of misleading parents about the medical basis and safety of gender-affirming care for children. WPATH denied the claims, calling the lawsuit baseless and accusing the Trump administration of interfering in healthcare decisions. The nonprofit previously won a temporary court order halting an FTC investigation into its practices.
