Towngas customers face higher bills as tariffs set to rise 4.4% in August
Towngas, Hong Kong’s largest piped-gas provider, will increase tariffs by 4.4% in August due to higher operating costs. The hike will result in about half of commercial and industrial customers paying up to HK$320 more monthly, while 65% of residential customers will pay at most HK$10 more. The company pledged no further tariff changes for the next two years.
