Man attacked by bear while riding a bike, authorities say

A man was attacked by a brown bear while riding a mountain bike on Dome Trail near Stuckagain Heights in Anchorage, Alaska. He dismounted, attempted to communicate with the bear, but it charged and made contact before retreating. The man sustained minor injuries, authorities collected samples from the bear, and the trail was closed for a week as a precaution.
