Democrats Wahab, Hernandez advance in California special election to finish Swalwell’s term
Democratic candidates Aisha Wahab and Melissa Hernandez advanced to the August 18 special general election to fill the remaining term of California U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell. Both candidates secured the top two spots in the primary, which also determined their positions in the November general election for the same district.
