China’s ‘soy sauce’ intestinal detox scam swindles over 100 seniors out of US$1.5 million

A Chinese health centre defrauded over 100 seniors of US$1.5 million by using soy sauce in an intestinal detox treatment to falsely claim toxin removal. Beijing police arrested more than 30 suspects linked to the scam after a victim's family discovered excessive spending at the facility.
