EU leaders ask Brussels to come up with new trade weapons to counter China shock

European Union national leaders requested Brussels to develop new trade instruments to address economic threats from China, following a summit debate. The EU's executive was instructed to engage with China to resolve trade issues and enhance trade defense and industrial policy tools.
