1 in custody, several people hospitalized after string of armed carjackings and robberies in SW Miami-Dade

A series of armed carjackings and robberies in SW Miami-Dade resulted in multiple hospitalizations and led to one person being taken into custody. Deputies found a beaten and stabbed victim near a Papa Johns, discovered stolen vehicles at a shopping center, and arrested a suspect after a brief foot pursuit. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit continues investigating potential additional suspects.
