Drought conditions continue across tri-state area

Drought conditions persist across the tri-state area, including New York City, Long Island, and much of New Jersey, under 'severe' classification by the National Weather Service. Spring, typically the wettest season for the region, has seen insufficient rainfall to alleviate the ongoing drought.
