Man pronounced dead after driving into Tennessee River in downtown Knoxville
An 89-year-old man, Burrell Harris, was pronounced dead after his truck was found in the Tennessee River in downtown Knoxville. Emergency personnel responded to Volunteer Landing near Calhoun’s, where Harris unintentionally reversed through a barrier into the water. The Knoxville Police Department is investigating the crash.
