Israel and Hezbollah agreed to renew a ceasefire in Lebanon after 24 hours of intense violence. A planned US-Iran meeting in Switzerland to discuss implementing a new deal was cancelled following clashes that killed four Israeli soldiers and at least 47 people in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa valley.
