Louisiana received the 2026 Gold Shovel Award for economic development from Area Development, marking the third consecutive year it has earned the recognition. The award highlights over $46.1 billion in capital investment and 6,613 new direct jobs from projects like Venture Global’s LNG facility and Woodside Energy’s LNG facility.
